TOURS to JAPAN with GOLD TOUR

Kyoto city tour

The Golden Pavilion - Kinkakuji.

The Golden Pavilion - Kinkakuji.

07:00 - Breakfast at the hotel.

10:00 - In the morning, a guide and an excursion to Kyoto await you in the lobby of the hotel!

From 794 to 1868 Kyoto was the capital of Japan, where the Japanese emperors lived.
There are about 2,000 temples (17 of them under the protection of UNESCO), hundreds of parks and dozens of ancient palaces. You will see a real distinctive Japan with temples, ancient and beautiful, with quiet streets, which seem to have not changed for centuries.

During the tour you will see:
The symbol of Kyoto is the “Golden Pavilion - Kinkakuji”. This building appeared in 1397 at the behest of the shogun Yosemitsu. The building is located on the shore of a small Kekoti pond with clear clear water, in which it is reflected in clear, calm weather.
Kinkakuji - the main Buddhist temple, the basis of Zen Buddhism, which contains the relics of Buddha, covered with a gold leaf. The roof of the golden temple is also covered with the finest gold leaf. A pine tree grows near the temple, which several generations of gardeners give the shape of a floating ship.
Nijo Castle.

Nijo Castle.

Nijo Castle - one of the largest stone castles in Japan, the castle houses the inner palace of Ninomaru, famous for its unique singing floor system - a kind of security system. Built in 1603 and was the official residence of the first shogun of the Tokugawa dynasty - Ieyasu. The castle is also under the protection of UNESCO.
Nijo Castle - the center of medieval luxury Japan. Taking pictures in many places of the castle is forbidden, so it remains only to contemplate the beauty of the interior decoration of this masterpiece. There is not a single deciduous tree in the castle garden, according to legend, the falling leaves reminded the shogun of death.
13:00 - Lunch. On the banks of the Kamo River in a cozy Japanese restaurant you can taste the signature dish Fried Eel and a cup of green tea. From the windows you can admire the views of the old city. The guide will help with the choice of dishes.
Sanju Sangen-do Temple

Sanju Sangen-do Temple

14:00 - Continuation of the tour. You will visit the Sanju Sangendo Temple or the “Temple of 33 Spaces” (also known as the “Temple of 1000 Buddhas” - named for the number of spans between the pillars of the building, symbolizing the 33 hypostases of the goddess of mercy - Kannon. Built in 1164.
In the cool depths of the temple lined up smooth rows of 1001 goddess Canon, the most revered in Japan. The Eleven-faced and Thousand-armed Kannon sits on the pedestal in the center, on each palm of which there is an eye, which symbolizes the limitless possibilities of the goddess to save people and animals. It took 100 years to make the statues. The temple is a national treasure of Japan.
Kiyomizu-dera Temple

Kiyomizu-dera Temple

You will visit the Kiyomizu-dera temple located on the slopes of Higashiyama Mountain (East Mountain) founded in 778. It got its name from a waterfall, the waters of which flow on its territory. "Kiyomizu is a temple for everyone."
First of all, Kiyomizu is famous for its unusual design: it stands on a slope of a high hill and, as it were, “descends” along this slope with its wooden piles, it was built without a single nail. On the territory of Kiyomizu-dera there are several temple structures, which are considered important cultural values. It is always crowded here: after all, its water grants health, longevity and great success in obtaining knowledge. The gallery balcony offers a magnificent view of the whole city.
The liveliest crush takes place in the Shinto idol Jishu-jinja, which also belongs to the Temple. Among the many spirits who live here together, the most popular, perhaps, is the god of love Okuninushino-Mikito. Young people always crowd around two "love" stones, located at a distance of 18 m from each other. If you walk with closed eyes from one stone to another, there is no doubt that true love will come to you in the near future.

18:00 - Return to the hotel.
